AZuR partner meeting gives a green light for three more years of joint commitment
On June 14, 2022, the Klima Arena in Sinsheim offered the ideal setting for the network meeting of the AZuR partners from Germany and Benelux.
Of the, now, around 50 partners from companies in the tyre and recycling industry, associations, media, environmental authorities, universities and research institutes, more than 20 attended to jointly develop projects, ideas, solutions and visions for the sustainable tyre cycle of the future.
It was quickly and unanimously agreed to continue the AZuR initiative, which was only founded in mid-2020, for at least another three years under the patronage of the German Rubber Industry Association (wdk).
After network coordinator Christina Guth reviewed the AZuR milestones since the interdisciplinary Alliance was founded in the summer of 2020, the forum quickly entered a lively discussion about goals and visions.
AZuR will continue to work towards avoiding waste and the best possible recycling of used tyres in the future in order to conserve natural resources and protect people, the climate and the environment. The aim is to reuse the highest possible percentage of used tyres in retreaded tyres or products made from recycled tyres after their initial use is ended.
