TRA Briefing day to cover waste tracking and discussion on the export issue
The annual TRA Briefing day will be held at the Woodland Grange Hotel, Leamington Spa on Tuesday 24th September.
The Keynote speaker will be George Eustice, former Secretary of State for the Environment.
There will be the usual breakdown of the figures from Simon Hodson from Astutus research. However, as we head into digital waste tracking, there will be an important introduction to what will be expected by Chris Brain, Digital Waste Tracking Service Owner (EA). This is a strategy that should impact on every player in the waste tyre sector. This is followed by a discussion on tracking technology by REGOM’s Bertrand Thomasin & Arthur Wagner.
Of key interest to many players in the industry will be the discussion on tyre exports with Rajiv Budhraja, Director General India’s Automotive Tyre Manufacturer’s Association. Henry Hodge, MD Black-Ram Recycling and Jayne Phillips, Deputy MD Murfitts Industries.
After lunch, there will be notifications on the new requirements for the Registration of Dealers/Brokers/Carriers of Waste presented by Sam Brackley, Senior Advisor, CBD Reg Reform Project Technical Lead, EA.
These will be followed by a presentation on a New Tyre Training Module Accessible to All Presented by Dr. Chas Ambrose, Director, Vehicle Recycling Association; and then a forum on Working Together, The Synergy Bonus Panel led by Darren Lindsey, Chief Executive, British Tyre Manufacturers Association With participation of our industry associates.
Participation at the Briefing day is free for TRA members, media representatives and our industry regulators. A charge of £60.00 plus VAT per person will apply to all other participants. A buffet lunch and refreshments are included
