T-Phite, a promising development using graphite from recycled tyres, is looking to break barriers and change the battery market.
T-Phite is the first graphitic hard carbon for lithium-ion battery anodes produced from end-of-life tyres. A product of Sustrend Labs in Chile, T-Phite was demonstrated by Dario Andreani at The Tire 2022.
There has, according to Andreani, been considerable interest in T-Phite from battery manufacturers. Now, the project is at the stage where it needs to raise funds to take its production to the next level, and it has registered on the Scalex Santiago Venture Exchange.
ScaleX is an initiative that seeks to facilitate attractive financing options for high-impact and growth enterprises (Scaleups), with technological components, through public offerings exempt from registration with the CMF (NCG ° 452) aimed at qualified investors.
