The Sociedad Lationamericana de TecnologĂa del Caucho (SLTC) has now revealed its pyrolysis sub-committee that will serve as an overall part of its new recycling committee.
SLTC Names Pyrolysis Sub-Committee
The pyrolysis sub-committee is a 4 person-strong line-up consisting of: Oscar Barrera (Technical Manager in the investigation of end-of-life tyre pyrolysis at Silkymia Colombia SAS – Colombia), Juan DanĂel Martinez (Associated Professor at the School of Engineering and Researcher from the Environmental Research Group at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) in MedellĂn, Colombia), Ignacio Quinzacara  (Technical Advisor in the areas of Commercial Development and Research and Development of recovered carbon black (rCB) at Ecotr Chile) and Arturo Rock (Operations Manager at Arrigoni Ambiental NFU in Chile).
According to the SLTC the objectives of pyrolysis sub-committee is to promote the develop of end-of-life tyre pyrolysis, improve the running of projects and strengthen established models in the region. Additionally, the pyrolysis sub-committee aims to create a nucleus of Colombian end-of-life tyre pyrolysis projects in order evaluate their performance as well as analyse the possible of replicating the model in other countries in the region. If all this wasn’t enough the group will manage the market development of sub-products from end-of-life tyre pyrolysis and collaborate in the development in the scientific investigations that are related to the field.
