The much vaunted Reklaim pyrolysis plant at Boardman, Oregon, will be sold at auction in the third quarter of 2017. Auctioneer Maas Companies Inc. says the assets are “surplus to the ongoing business” of the company, which is alternative energy provider Reklaim Inc.
Auction Generating Interest
Maas Companies, which bills itself as an auction company specializing in selling real estate, industrial plants, equipment and special assets, says the auction is Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The auction will be held onsite at 71722 Columbia Blvd., in Boardman.
The 20,000-square-foot building sits on eight acres with a long-term lease with the Port of Morrow on the Columbia River. Bidders can purchase the building, which was originally built in 2008, with upgrades undertaken in 2011 and 2014, to be moved or to remain in place with a lease modification. Also, buyers will have the opportunity to purchase equipment assets by bulk product line or piecemeal, says Maas Companies. Buyers can attend the auction in person or bid remotely.
“This auction offers a great opportunity for a new owner in the renewable fuel market, venture capital groups looking for a test facility, or specialty market manufacturers,” says Tyler Maas, director of sales and marketing for Maas Companies. “Reklaim had forward thinking during construction; the property is extremely adaptable to a modified industry.”
In December 2016 Reklaim and Germany’s Pyrolyx came to an agreement on a joint venture in the USA.
