The Smithers Recovered Carbon Black Conference in Berlin on the 16th and 17th of November has announced its speaker schedule.
The two-day conference dedicated to recovered Carbon Black will be opened by Martin von Wolfersdorff, followed by a market overview by Paul Ita from Notch Consulting Group.
Continental’s Dr Andreas Topp will update the conference on Conti’s sustainability ambitions before discussing rCB specification proposals from Michelin and Bridgestone. These will lay out the tyre industry position of recovered Carbon Black.
There will be the ubiquitous update from some leading pyrolysis companies, Black Bear Carbon, Bolder Industries, Circtec and, of course, Scandinavian Enviro.
The morning of Day One will see discussions on regulatory compliance, including a Carbon Footprint study on tyre pyrolysis.
After lunch, the focus will be on testing, characterisation, and standards, as well as the effects of post treatments of rCB in rubber reinforcement.
Day Two starts with a focus on Tyre Pyrolysis Oil with a presentation by BASF, a key client for TPO giving an insight into its uses for TPO.
This will be followed by a consideration of technical breakthroughs from industry experts and researchers.
Of course, with the industry moving towards “at scale” production, the afternoon looks at how to upscale and how collaborations can benefit the sector. Here, there will be presentations from Krzysztof Wróblewski, from Contec S.A., Eliot Sorella from Ecolomondo and Pascal Klein from Pyrum Innovations AG.
