UK-based Mishergas, a green energy project is close to achieving its funding goal to support plants to generate energy from waste tyres.
Pyrolysis Goal Ever Closer for Mishergas
The company, founded by husband and wife team Dan and Vicki Templar, is currently seeking £300,000 in funding through the Seedrs platform, with a 9.63 per cent equity stake offered.
Investors on the platform have so far pledged almost £190,000 to support the business’ plans.
Mishergas plans to use pyrolysis at a plant expected to be located near Grimsby. Its planned five-acre site would be able to generate 8MW of electricity, enough to power about 15,000 homes.
This is a different tack from that being taken by most pyrolysis forms who look to recovering oil and rCB as the main income streams.
The company aims to process 40,000 tonnes of waste car and lorry tyres per year, about 10 per cent of the UK’s annual 50 million waste tyres.
Mishergas said: “Everything we have achieved so far is by people taking the initiative to invest in their planet’s future. We are crowdfunding again to push our first facility to the finish line. We are close to completion but we are once again calling on the support of the people.”
