Gradeall Baler Conveyer Eases the Load

Launched in March 2020, the Gradeall tyre baler conveyor slid quietly onto the market barely noticed.

Gradeall Baler Conveyer Gets a Positive Response

Gradeall’s Alan Shaw explained that customers who were running through high volumes of tyres were asking for an improved way of loading.

The actual loading remains a manual task, but the conveyor allows tyres to be loaded by a bucket loader and fed to the baling point. Once there the tyres are at a height that makes loading a case of dropping tyres in place rather than lifting. The conveyor takes a lot of pain out of baling.

One of the first baler conveyors has been well received in Reykjavík in Iceland.

Potential clients often say that they have a good team and have no need of the conveyor, but, particularly in the UK, a lot of low-cost labour has vanished since BREXIT. Shaw argues that the conveyor feed eases the workload on even the best of teams, making the job less arduous and more attractive.

The conveyor can of course feed a pair of balers, and the latest development coming in 2022 will allow trucks to offload directly onto the conveyer.

The tyre baling market is still growing, and whether for trucking in the domestic market, or shipping internationally, baling is still the prime option for space saving of end-of-life tyres being transported in any volume.
