Giti Tyre Announces ‘Drive Your Creativity’ Campaign to Encourage Tyre Re-Use

GiTi Boosts Artisan Participation in Recycling

As part of its efforts to highlight the importance of sustainability, Giti Tyre has introduced a new ‘Drive Your Creativity’ campaign. Through this spring, Giti will be focusing on communications that highlight the importance of sustainable thinking when it comes to tyres, as well as some of Giti’s actions and how everyone can be involved in supporting smart tyre use in a responsible way.

This campaign will include a contest open to all end-users and dealers around the world. To enter, participants simply re-use their old tyres in a creative, artistic, or useful way – and share about their use either on or by tagging #gitigreen on Facebook or Instagram. Whether for playgrounds, plants, or other decorations, the durability and versatility of tyres allow for numerous possibilities of re-use.

In addition to recognition on Giti’s global social media platforms and online Art Gallery, there are a wide variety of fun and sustainable prizes available to the most creative entries. These rewards include Green 256gb Apple iPad Air, Google Nest Thermostat, Solar Charging Backpack, and three Giti Prize Packs filled with branded and sustainable goodies. Most importantly, participants will be contributing to a positive environmental impact, and helping to inspire others to do the same. Entries received through March 15 will be eligible for the prizes, but Giti will continue to post and share additional ones beyond that time.

While quality CSR and sustainability is a long-term commitment with continued improvements needed along the way, Giti has focused on extensively in this area in the past year – including new partnerships with UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) and GPSNR (Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber), as well as issuing its first Sustainability Report that is based on Social Development Goals. In 2022, the company plans to continue to expand its efforts, with the addition of certified GRI standards to reporting, new activities related to end-of-life tyre use, and increased involvement with organizations that share similar commitments.
