ETRA Conference Moves to the end of May

ETRA Conference relocated to a new venue and date but clashes with IFAT

Change of ETRA Conference Date

ETRA has again had to postpone its 27th Conference, moving the event back to 30th May – 1st June, to take place at the Le Louise Hotel, Brussels. For tyre recyclers, the ETRA conference is an important date in the diary as it offers a unique opportunity for tyre recyclers to come together, and network like at no other event in Europe.

However, the diary is busy for people reaching out to industry, with no less than five key events taking place in a very short time period.

Tire Tech in Hanover takes place on the 18th – 20th May and is an important opportunity for technicians to meet and discuss the latest developments in tyre technology, including the latest advances in the use of recycled materials.

The Tire takes place shortly after in Cologne on the 24th – 26th May and is still the largest event in Europe dedicated to the tyre industry alone.

Coinciding with this is Autopromotec in Bologna on the 25th – 28th May.  Autopromotec will be hosting a Retread and Recycling Conference, and the announcement of the 2022 Recircle Awards. Although not tyre dedicated, it is one of the largest motor industry events in Europe this year, drawing visitors from around the world.

Then there is the single biggest recycling and environmental show in Europe – IFAT, taking place in Munich on the 30 May 2022 – 3 June 2022

Now we also have the ETRA Conference also on the 30thMay to the 1st of June.

Tyre and Rubber Recycling has spoken to some exhibitors, and they are not happy with the events schedule – some will dilute their presence, some will focus on just one event, some will ask themselves if they really need to attend any of these conferences. Surely, the organisers of these events should have consulted each other and come up with a plan to better schedule their activities to spread the load and costs to exhibitors and attendees.
