Ecopneus Tyrefield for the Navy

Ecopneus, the main operator of End-of-Life Tyres management in Italy, brings the innovative Tyrefield surfaces made with the technical support of Casei Eco-System to the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Regatta, for an even more sustainable sailing tour of Italy.

Ecopneus Joins the Italian Navy

The event kicks off from Genoa and will continue for eight exciting stages that will touch some of the most beautiful Italian coastal locations. Ecopneus is the Sustainability Partner of the Nastro Rosa Tour, the sailing tour of Italy that promotes the values of the Navy, which will start today from the Old Port of Genoa and will continue for eight stages that will touch, from north to south, some of the most beautiful Italian coastal resorts.

In the Village that will be set up at each stage it will be possible to view the innovative Tyrefield surfaces for boating made of recycled rubber from End-of-Life Tyres, a new solution available to professionals and amateurs alike.

The innovative plates were tested at the Italian Yatch Club of Genoa, the oldest sailing club in the Mediterranean, in the 6×6 technical area and on the slipways, thanks to the commitment of Ecopneus.

The experiments carried out at the Italian Yacht Club of Genoa attest to Tyrefield surfaces for boating in recycled rubber as an ideal and high-performing partner for the needs of those who work in the sailing and nautical sectors: a concrete and sustainable response to safety needs, and protection of both professionals and sea lovers, as they significantly reduce the possibility of slipping in areas close to water or in humid areas, and also protect boats from damage.

The latest generation of Tyrefield sports surfaces for boating are made thanks to the use of recycled rubber from ELTs, a material that has extraordinary characteristics for sports: optimal elastic response, resistance to the most adverse weather conditions and high shock absorption capacity, make it a perfect material for the practice of different sports disciplines, widely used all over the world for the construction of football and rugby fields in artificial grass, athletics tracks, multi-purpose indoor and outdoor surfaces for basketball, tennis and volleyball, anti-shock flooring for gyms and play areas.

The event, organized by Difesa Servizi and SSI Events, starts from the Porto Antico of Genoa, and will make landfall at a total of eight cities (in addition to Genoa also Civitavecchia, Gaeta, Naples, Bari, Brindisi, Marina di Ravenna, and Venice) and foresees in a single event the three fundamental sailing disciplines: offshore, inshore and boards. Thirteen crews from nine different nations will be the protagonists of the sailing event, which will be accompanied at each stage by a village, and will end in Venice, at the Arsenale.
