Clemson Postpone Conference for April

Another Tyre event bites the dust in 2020 with Clemson event postponed.

Clemson Tire Conference Falls to Covid-19

The organiser of the Clemson Tire Conference has postponed the 2020 event, scheduled for April 28-30 in Hilton Head, South Carolina, due to “growing concerns” around the COVID-19 virus.

Clemson University‘s Center for Corporate Learning said it is working on a possible alternative date in June.

Those who have registered and paid either by invoice or credit card have the option of allowing the registration to stand until an alternative date can be confirmed or request a credit-card refund/invoice voiding.

This year’s Clemson University Global Tire Industry Conference is the 38th annual such conference. Michelin North America Inc. Chairman and President Alexis Garcin was scheduled to keynote this year’s conference.

The three-day gathering’s program lists five subject categories in half-day sessions: Testing, Investigations and Liability; Future Tyre Trends/Requirements; Tyre Industry Outlook/Inside-Outside Perspective; Innovations in Tiyre Materials; and The Tyre’s Last Mile Delivery – Recycling & Sustainability.

For more details, visit the conference’s website clemsontireconference.com or contact Salley Ouellette at palmer4@clemson.edu. Those who have reserved rooms at the Sonesta Resort should call 843-842-2400 to cancel.
