The Arkansas state legislature is considering a bill that would facilitate the recycling of off-the-road tyres in the state.
Arkansas Legislature Considers Funding OTR Recycling
Sponsored by state Rep. Lanny Fite, Arkansas House Bill 1362 would authorise the transfer of $300,000 from the Marketing Recyclables Program Fund of the state’s Used Tire Recycling Fund “for the purposes of implementing, administering, and funding the collection and recycling or collection and disposal of extra-large tyres.”
HB 1362 was introduced Feb. 4 and passed Feb. 7 by the Arkansas House Committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor. It was then transferred to the Senate Committee on Public Health, Welfare and Labor.
