Brussels hosted the Covid-delayed 27th ETRA Conference on tyre recycling
Brussels saw the revived 27th ETRA Conference take place at the end of May. It was a great tribute to the late Dr. Valerie Shulman, whose presence was missed by many who knew her and were familiar with her emphatic control of the previous events.
So, it was fitting that the board of ETRA paid their respects to Valerie, and that Elroy Fimrite’s EFG Polymers announced the funding of a “Valerie Shulman Scholarship” to help encourage young and enthusiastic individuals to invest their careers in tyre recycling.
Topics covered Re-Plan the City working groups, tyre arisings, microplastics, rubberised asphalt, rubber in concrete, pyrolysis developments and some detail on Rubber Jet Valley and Piave Tyres new retreading system.
