Vinora Industries Invests to Expand

Chennai based Vinora Industries is investing in a continuous pyrolysis plant at Tiruchirappalli in the southern state of Tamil Nadu

“The upcoming pyrolysis plant would spread over a 2 acre plot and would start functioning by March 2025,” informed S Rajan, Managing Director, Vinora Industries. On the level of investment to be made in the upcoming pyrolysis plant, Rajan informed, “We are investing in between INR 50-60 million in the new project.”

Vinora Industries anticipates rising demand in the pyrolysis business as the company is already supplying Bitumen to road contractors.

Currently, Vinora Industries has an installed capacity of 40 tons per day at its plant in Chennai manufacturing Bitumen (all grades in bulk and packed), Blown Bitumen (grade 85/25, 90/15, 115/15), Bitumen Emulsion (RS1, RS2, SSI, SS2, MS) CRMB (grade 55 & 60), PMB (grade 40, 70 & 120),  all types MS Drums, Crumb Rubber (20 to 50 Mesh) and all grades of Reclaim Rubber.

Expansion at Chennai site

Vinora Industries is also expanding into reclaim rubber at the existing Chennai premises. “We are also investing INR 25 million in machinery with 10 tons capacity per day.”

The company believes the expansion in reclaim rubber has huge potential. All the new OTR & truck tyre manufacturers require reclaim rubber as it cuts production costs.

“As per the new EPR policy tyre OEMs have to meet their recycling obligations and also increase their use of reclaim rubber.”

Vinora Industries was the first company in South India to install Fornnax Recycling Technology recycling lines in 2015. Its Chennai plant already operates on SR200 and R 4000 machines. Now it is planning to install another Fornnax granulator R 4000 HD in the coming year.

Gujarat machinery supplier Fornnax Recycling Technology maintains a strong relationship with Vinora Industries as the Chennai based company continues sourcing machinery from Fornnax and to date installed six lines. Vinora Industries subsidiary Vichoor Bitu Chemicals sourced a Fornnax secondary shredder R-2000 and Granulator TR-1400 for production of crumb rubber. As part of further expansion, second TR-1400 Granulator was installed.  The company installed SR-200 and R-4000 machines in 2020 & 2021.
